It is a two-year project developed by UISP Comitee of Ciriè Settimo Chivasso (Italy), in cooperation with several partners, as Courage Foundation (Bulgaria), Association Sport for All Suceava (Romania), Former State Fostered Children’s Association (Hungary), The Child Center (Slovakia), Agrupamento de Escolas de Miranda do Corvo (Portugal), Freedom Gate Greece (Greece).
AIMS
IRISES project’s aim is to protect disadvantaged Roma and non-Roma children rights, living in residential care or detention care. The aim will be achieved through specific training of operators working in residential care by exchanging good practices . IRISES directly involves children form residential care who are going to attend meetings and workshops scheduled in the project events.
TARGET
During the two-year project more than 70 professionals and 700 children from 10 to 18 years old will be involved. Training sessions on European citizenship, non-discrimination and tolerance will be held during activities using sports, arts and games as inclusion tools. The project aims to involve both its addressees and the whole community who will be informed through media about importance of rights protection for children living in residential care or in home care. Thanks to community support these children will be autonomous and able to have a fair future in society
